We are giving Coach Joey™ a break from serious Hockey instruction.

For this new occasional comedy series, Coach Joey takes inspiration from the absurd sports-name comedy made famous by Key & Peele and gives Hockey its own completely unnecessary version.

No Player is safe.

And naturally, we have to start with one of the biggest names in Hockey.

Connor McDavid

Coach Joey checks the roster.

He looks at the name.

He pauses.

Then, with complete confidence:

Another pause.

“Pretty sure I’ve heard of him.”

That is it.

No explanation.

No complicated setup.

Just Coach Joey confidently turning a perfectly recognizable Hockey name into something nobody asked for.

Connor McDavid is known for extraordinary speed, skill, and puck control.

Coach Joey apparently decided the name required additional dangling.

Humanity has survived worse editorial decisions.
