COLLINGWOOD NHL PROSPECT COROVIC WINS TOP GOALIE HONOUR WITH 1.66 GAA

March 20, 2026, Mississauga, ON – Maksim Corovic of the Ontario Junior Hockey League’s Collingwood Blues is the OJHL’s Top Goaltender for the 2025-26 season, the league announced today.

The award is presented to the OJHL goalie with the lowest goals-against average. Another OJHL award, Goaltender of the Year, is voted on by media representatives and OJHL general managers. It will be announced in April.

Corovic finished the season with a 1.66 GAA to go with a 0.942 save percentage, three shutouts and a record of 14-3-2-1.

The 17-year-old Stoney Creek native was ranked 24th among North American Goaltenders in mid-season rankings for this year’s NHL Draft.

The Brantford Bulldogs OHL prospect was named OJHL Goaltender of the Month for January after going 4-0-0-0 and posting a 1.58 goals-against average that was paired with a 0.947 save percentage. 

Earlier this season, Corovic represented the OJHL and the Canadian Junior Hockey League (CJHL) as a member of Team Canada East at the Junior A World Challenge in Trois-Rivières, Que., and participated in the inaugural Zach Hyman OJHL Prospects Series.

The Blues finished in second place in the OJHL West and swept the first round of the playoffs. They will play the Leamington Flyers in the second round of the playoffs beginning tonight in Collingwood.

The OJHL is announcing its 2025-26 award winners throughout the first three playoff rounds.
