Summerland Sting alum Justin Pogge (2002-03) has been named to the coaching staff for Canada’s National Junior team, led by Dave Cameron.

Pogge, a Penticton, B.C. native, is part of the staff as a goaltending consultant. They will be looking to win gold on home ice at the 2025 IIHF World Junior Championship in Ottawa, Ontario.

Scott Salmond, senior vice-president of high performance and hockey operations for Hockey Canada, said in a release that Pogge and the others  “will benefit our team with their extensive CHL and international experience.”

Pogge joined Hockey Canada as a goaltending consultant in 2023 after retiring from professional hockey. Pogge last played in the DEL with Grizzlys Wolfsberg.
