ABOUT US
New Era Player Development was founded by Tomas Orr, who has been in the player representation business for over 5 years. We are in our athlete’s corner every step of the way. Our advisors job isn’t done until we are sure that our athlete is playing the highest level of college sport for their abilities. Our network of connections across North America is unmatchable, which is why our athlete placement success rate is so high. No other company can offer the level of exposure to colleges for its clients than New Era Player Development.
During this time in the player representation business we have also found that there are a few major issues in the area of player development. The first is that there is a substantial focus on offseason general skill development, and a lack of emphasis on individual video analysis of players throughout their respective seasons. The second issues is that players have a lack of consistency in their training . They will go to coach A for a week and Coach B for a week. Each coach has a different focus and usually they have no prior knowledge of the player’s strengths, weaknesses or personality.
We have set out to change the way development is approached by aiming to provide the consistency and in-season training that is missing for athletes. We strive to be the gold standard in athlete development. Our instructors have all played high levels in their respective sports and have continue their careers as skill development coaches.
