As the calendar turns to November, here’s a look back at promotions from October and a look ahead at what’s happening in USHL rinks this month.
A look back at October
- Cedar Rapids, Omaha, Sioux City and Youngstown raised a combined $85k for cancer-related causes during the month of October (Breast Cancer Awareness Month).
- As part of a Taylor Swift promotional night in Sioux City, the Musketeers gave away two free tickets to see her in concert. A 14-year-old Taylor Swift superfan named Jaylee Martinez heard her name called at Tyson Events Center. Read the story from KTIV Sioux City here.
- U.S. Olympian and PWHL champion Kendall Coyne dropped the puck at a Chicago Steel game in celebration of women in sports (photos here).
Nebraska Epilepsy Night
- The Lincoln Stars will be hosting Nebraska Epilepsy Night at The Ice Box on November 8th. There will be a raffle as well as t-shirts available for purchase, with all proceeds going to the Nebraska Epilepsy Foundation. (Learn More)
Military Appreciation Nights
- Omaha, Lincoln, Muskegon, Sioux City, Dubuque, and Sioux Falls will each be hosting a military appreciation night this month. Visit their respective team websites for more information.
Sensory Friendly Night
- The Chicago Steel will have their third annual Sensory Friendly Night on November 15th. The night will feature low-volume music, no goal horns, and other accommodating features. (Learn More)
Honor Flight
- Fargo will be hosting Honor Flight Night on November 16th, featuring specialty jerseys, a live band, a giveaway at the door, a silent auction, a specialty puck drop, a post-game jersey auction, and much more. Proceeds will help support Honor Flight of ND/MN. (Learn More)
Pucks and Paws
- Bring your dog to watch some hockey with you as the Madison Capitols host “Pucks and Paws” night on November 16th. (Learn More)

Charlie Brown Christmas Night
