(NCAA) When should I transition my free Profile Page?

free Profile Page account is the best place to start with the NCAA Eligibility Center, and a great way to get information to help you with your dream of playing NCAA sports. However, which certification account you transition your Profile Page account to depends on your circumstances. The following information will help you determine the next step that is right for you. 

Transition to an Academic and Amateurism Certification account if you are:

Transition to an Amateurism-Only Certification account if you are:

  • An international student-athlete in grade/year 11 or higher who is planning to planning to initially enroll in a Division III school.
  • two-year student planning to play at an NCAA Division I, II or III school. (All transfer students should ask the compliance office at the school they plan to enroll which account is right for them.)

When you transition your Profile Page account, you must pay the associated fee for the Certification account you choose in order for your account to be ready for review. (A fee waiver is available for those who qualify.) To determine which certification account is right for you, click here.

Be sure to select the certification account that is right for your circumstances! Unsure which account is right for you? Contact the compliance office at the school you plan to attend or contact the Eligibility Center at 877-262-1492 (domestic students only). Do NOT create a second account, as that can confuse coaches who might be interested in recruiting you.
