Since 2006, The Will Sports Group has helped its clients achieve their goals at all levels.
We have worked with multiple NHL first round draft picks, including first, second, and third overall picks. We have also worked closely with Players who have not been drafted, yet still went on to achieve their goals and dreams to play in the NHL. Over the years, The Will Sports Group has had players recognized internationally, our clients have been selected as National Hockey League All-Stars.
We have represented multiple American Hockey League All-Stars and various NCAA Players who have reached All American status. We have a very strong presence in the Junior hockey world. In the past and present, we have worked with several elite Junior players in the Ontario Hockey League, Quebec Major Junior Hockey League, and CHL Import Draft. The Will Sports Group has offices worldwide with a very strong presence in Finland, where we represent several elite Players.

We are the only agency that has a former NHLPA Senior lawyer as a certified agent, who has played an instrumental role in shaping three Collective Bargaining Agreements between the NHL and the NHLPA. Our unique business approach allows us to have an intimate understanding of each individual player’s contract negotiation. Each player’s specific needs are different from those of his teammates. We assist you in making sure that you are informed and educated every step of the way.

Since its inception in 2006, The Will Sports Group has negotiated contracts for his its clients that total over half a billion dollars. The Will Sports Group has continuously negotiated record setting contracts, including but not limited to: Tyler Seguin -Dallas Stars; Miro Heiskanen-Dallas Stars; Thomas Chabot-Ottawa Senators; K’Andre Miller-New York Rangers; Matias Maccelli -Arizona Coyotes. The WSG staff is dedicated to protecting and advancing all of its Players’ best interests at all times.
PLAYER DEVELOPMENT
We take great pride in how we communicate with our players.
The WSG is a leader in the business for making sure all players have attention at every step of their individual careers.
We make sure that all WSG clients have proper training in place every summer in order to reach their full potential. We provide our clients with access to top trainers in the industry, both on and off the ice.
NHL DRAFT
NHL Club Interviews – We ensure all our players and their families understand the draft process in order to succeed. We make sure that all players going through the NHL draft process are well prepared.
NHL Combine Preparation – We ensure our Players are prepared physically and mentally for this event.
FINANCIAL PLANNING / TAX
We work with several CPA firms across Canada and the US to ensure players are receiving the proper tax advice during their career.
We have built strategic partnerships in the financial world, and ensure all players have the right fit for their individual needs.
We work with experts in the legal field both in the US and in Canada to make sure our clients’ estate plans are met.
BRANDING
We believe to achieve off ice success with marketing and endorsements this must be attached to on ice success. We work with industry leaders in terms of brand development and player marketing with an understanding that each hockey market is different.
