Assistant Coach/ Goalie Coach:Connor Munday | |
With an impressive background, Connor has spent the past four years as the Goaltending Development Coach for the Northern Alberta Tomahawks and YEG Academy Wings of the GMHL. He also holds lead instructional roles at the Goalie Coaches School, S.O.S. Hockey and True North Goaltending.Having honed his skills in the Edmonton Minor Hockey system, Connor had the privilege of being coached by Kurtis Mucha (Edmonton Oilkings) and Dustin Schwartz (Edmonton Oilers). With a wealth of knowledge and experience, Connor brings invaluable expertise to our team, and we couldn’t be more thrilled to have him on board.Connor: “I am very excited for the opportunity that the Regals have presented me. Spruce Grove is an amazing hockey town and excited to be a part of it!” |

With a passion for hockey and a deep commitment to the sport, Shawn brings a wealth of experience to our team. Hailing from Spruce Grove, he knows the community and its love for the game inside out.Last year, Shawn served as the Assistant GM and Coach for the Northern Alberta Tomahawks in the GMHL, where he honed his coaching skills and fostered a winning mentality.When he’s not on the ice, Shawn owns and operates Edmonton Lawn Maintenance, showcasing his dedication and hard work in everything he does.Family always comes first for Shawn, he’s a proud husband and father of two wonderful kids. |
Assistant Coach:Bryant Joseph | |
Bryant and his family made Alberta their home two years ago. Since then, he has fully immersed himself in our community, embracing the local hockey culture. We are fortunate to have such a committed individual join our coaching team.Head coach Tayler McCallum, who has had the privilege of working closely with Bryant over the past two seasons, speaks highly of his leadership abilities, commitment to the game, and extensive knowledge. “Bryant spent the last 2 seasons playing for me in the GMHL where he served as my captain for both years and won numerous team and league awards including GMHL MVP. Bryant comes from a great family and has all the attributes and qualities that we as a team will value. We are lucky to have him.”When asked about joining the Spruce Grove Regals, Bryant expressed his enthusiasm, saying, “Very excited to get the year started off with this organization! Can’t wait to meet all the fellas and get things rolling in high gear.” His eagerness to dive right into the coaching role and build strong relationships with the team demonstrates his commitment to fostering a positive and winning environment. |
Trainer/Athletic Therapist:Paige Branting | |
Paige recently completed her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology and Biology, showcasing her dedication to the study of human movement and physiology. One of Paige’s most notable strengths is her specialization in sports performance and injury rehabilitation.Her expertise allows her to tailor training programs and therapeutic interventions to the specific needs of each athlete. Whether it’s helping athletes reach their fitness goals or guiding them through the recovery process, Paige is committed to their success.Continuing her professional development, Paige is currently working towards her CSEP Clinical Exercise Physiologist Certification. This pursuit demonstrates her unwavering commitment to staying at the forefront of sports science and ensuring that she delivers the highest quality care to our players. |
