Hockey Program
Structured skill sessions will be conducted on every non-game day with the primary emphasis placed on elite skill development for each individual and team play targeted for success. Strength and conditioning will be of paramount importance with coaches teaching hockey-specific body development through weight training and cardiovascular workouts available every day of the week. Daily, progressive skills sessions and goalie training will be conducted on-ice apart from team practices in part to directly apply physical training to player development. Each player’s strength and conditioning progress will be encouraged and recorded.
In addition, individuals will have opportunities to increase repetitions on their own at the weight room and rink. Unstructured skates on Monday’s are a common occurrence as part of leisure skating hours to preserve the players’ passion for the experience and to encourage creativity on the ice.
