HISTORY OF THE BRADFORD BULLS
The Bulls were announced on February 23, 2012, by the GMHL. The Bulls previously were members of the GMOHL (JR C) from 1980-2006 and won the GMOHL league championship most recently in 1987 and 1998. Since joining the GMHL, The Bulls have been a top team in the league and were able to capture the Russell Cup during the 2013/2014 season. During the 2022-2023 season, the Bradford Bulls surpassed 240 all-time wins since the club was founded in 2012. With the team win total, the Bulls have proven to be a premiere organization in the Greater Metro Jr ‘A’ Hockey League. During the spring of 2019, The Bradford Bulls changed its management and Program Vision. Following these changes the Club immediately stepped into contender status amongst the league bolstering an 86-29-9 regular season record and finishing Top 3 in league standings each season. We look forward to many more years of Team and Individual Players Success. The Bradford Bulls play out of Bob Fallis Arena, located at 2961 10 Sideroad Bradford Ontario.
Throughout the teams eleven years spent in the GMHL, the Bulls have won one Russell Cup in 2013-2014, and have never missed the playoffs in franchise history. Over the past 11 seasons The Bradford Bulls have moved on 43 players to College Hockey, 43 players to European Pro, and 20 players to North American Minor Pro. Many Bulls have also received individual league awards, voted on by Team Owners. 3 of the last 4 seasons have seen a Bull win the League MVP Award. Safe to say, we have a rich winning and advancement tradition in Bradford. We credit our success to the program and winning formula we have put in place.
Aside from the 42-game regular season, GMHL Showcase Tournament and Russell Cup Playoffs, the Bulls players practice 3-4 times per week on average, depending on game schedule. They also have team/individual off-ice and gym sessions daily, along with chalk talk and video analysis.
The Bradford Bulls Jr. A Hockey Club is committed to providing a program that is focused on player development and exposure to scouts and recruiters at all higher levels of the game. These include Major Junior and Professional hockey, but with a primary focus on the College level.
