SPECIAL MENTION – Hendrix Lapierre
Maxtech would like to congratulate Hendrix on his signing of a three-year entry-level contract with the Washington Capitals.
Hendrix was drafted in the first round and 22nd overall in the special draft during the COVID-19 pandemic. In addition, he was invited to the Junior Canada team selection camp which will take place in November.
Good luck
SPECIAL MENTION – Marc-Antoine Séguin
Maxtech congratulates Marc-Antoine for breaking into the roster of the Rouyn Noranda Huskies team in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League. Marc-Antoine Séguin born in 2003 played for the Maxtech Rage during the spring season of 2011, 2012 and 2015.
Marc-Antoine has always been a verbally expressive player in the room and on the ice. He was a born leader at the novice level always chatting with his teammates and also loved to laugh with them. His biggest quality as a player was his vision of the game during matches, he was patient with the puck and he was always looking for a teammate to feed him the puck.
In his first bantam year, he joined the ranks of the cadet hockey team (division 1) of the Gatineau comprehensive school. The following year, he made the AAA bantam roster in the Outaouais region. Subsequently, he was selected for the midget hopeful team. This hockey season was his draft year for the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League and he was chosen in the fifth round (5th) and ninety (90) overall. At his first selection camp for the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies, he was among the last players cut. He then joined the AAA midget Intrépides de Gatineau.
Marc-Antoine reported to the 2020-21 season selection camp with additional experience. He was ready for Huskies camp and when camp finally ended. Marc-Antoine with his determination is now a QMJHL player.
Good luck in this new adventure
SPECIAL MENTION – Colin Ratt
Maxtech congratulates Colin for making the roster for the Sherbrooke Phoenix team in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League. Colin Ratt born in 2003 played for the Maxtech Rage during the spring season of 2014 and 2015.
Colin was a calm player but on the ice, WOW. He had very good ability in possession of the puck. He was a very solid center, always there to protect his teammates and especially his goalkeeper. Sometimes he put the opponent to sleep by knitting the puck around them and when he went to the corners of the ice, the majority of the time he came out with the puck.
He was never selected by the regional AAA team in the Outaouais region. His first Bantam year, he played for the Loups des Collines at the BB level and the following year at the AA level. Then, he joined the ranks of a Hawkesbury preparatory school, Sommet International Hockey Academy, for the last two (2) years.
Colin was not drafted at the major junior level in Quebec but he participated this year in the Sherbrooke Phoenix selection camp as a guest player. He worked hard at the trials, he showed them what he can do and his perseverance paid off. He is now a QMJHL player.
Good luck in this new adventure.
