- Frank Scarpaci, III, Head Coach Premier Team has been a member of the Florida Eels for the past 14 seasons. He has been a part of the nationally recognized Florida Eels in what is known as their “Golden Years”.
- When playing for the Eels, Scarpaci helped his team become state champions 3 times and even reach nationals where they placed 8th in the nation. Scarpaci will be going into his 8th season coaching for the Eels with an overall record of 194 wins.
- Since taking over for the Eels Premier team the team he has headed his team to the league finals 3 times and the Semi-Finals 5times and earned the USPHL’s coach of the year nomination. Scarpaci also, while being the Eel’s assistant coach, helped get the Eels to the league championship twice.
- Since his start of coaching, he has helped developed and coach players to advance to schools such as NCAA Div.1 like the University of Vermont and Northeastern University, to NCAA Div.III schools such as Colby College and Adrian College, and the Major Juniors as the Moncton Wildcats.
- Scarpaci takes after his father in believing that advancement and development is the number one goal of a hockey coach. Before Scarpaci started his coaching career he played NCAA Div. III hockey at Concordia University-Wisconsin. Now Scarpaci helps in all areas, earning himself an impressive resume for a young age.

- Frank Scarpaci brings a unique approach to his junior hockey organization. While sure the Eels have a team goal of winning games and keeping a winning mentality, his organizational goal is to prepare and place his athletes toward the next level. He has advanced 210 players to college hockey. Whether or not his player’s goal is to move towards a Tier 1 Junior league, Div.1 and Div. III colleges or to obtain proper guidance and leadership while on the brisk of manhood, Scarpaci leads the way for his players. Integrity, compete level, and character are his main ingredients for his players as well as a feeling of pride when putting on the traditional Eels logo. His credentials are unmatched in this Junior field, rich with experience and knowledge he will truly outwork any of his competitors when it comes to succeeding in his player’s future.

- THE FLORIDA EELS
- The Florida Eels Junior program was formed to meet the needs of hockey players who wanted to further their skills in preparation for college or pro hockey. The Eels have since established itself as an excellent quality junior hockey program, with many of its players realizing success at advanced levels of play.
- The Eels have 2 Tier III Junior A teams. One team plays in the USPHL Premier Division and the second team plays in the USPHL Elite Division. Both the Premier and Elite teams continue to be amongst the top teams in their divisions. In the past 11 seasons the Eels have won its Division, won the playoffs and advanced to Nationals. It advanced to the semi finals 5 times and the finals 3 times. Each team performs extremely well in the regular season and in playoffs. The most important stat is that the Eels program advanced 330 players to go on to play college hockey. Indeed, this past season Eels advanced 18 players. This continues to make the Eels one of the top performing programs in North America, be it Tier II and Tier III.
- The Eels Program is all about player development. As you can see some programs say this but the Eels go beyond lip service. When you have approximately 20+ boys each year moving on to play college hockey it defines excellence. Indeed, we have over 165 alumni who have gone on to play at various levels of college hockey as well as 4 players that recently have been drafted into the NHL; Teddy Ruth, (Washington Capitals now with the Columbus Blue Jackets) RJ Boyd (Florida Panthers), Brad Peltz (Ottawa Senators) and Cam Darcy (Tampa Bay Lightning) and another 4 who were in attendance at NHL Prospects Camps: Malcolm Lyles (Florida Panthers), Cam Darcy (Ottawa Senators), Clay Witt (Tampa Bay Lightning) and Bennett Schneider (NY Islanders). The Eels also have had numerous alumni move on to the USHL, NAHL, and BCHL. Additionally the Eels have placed over 40 alumni in prestigious New England Prep schools.

- Eels Teams play in the USPHL: The United States Premier Hockey League has placed over 3,500 players into NCAA College Hockey There are currently over 1,100 USPHL alumni playing college hockey. The Florida Eels have 266+ Alumni who advanced to college hockey. The Eels will advanced 18 players to college hockey this season.The Florida Eels have 4 alumni who were drafted into NHL The Florida Eel share 2 alumni who advanced to the USA NTPD The Florida Eels have numerous players who advanced to the USHL USPHL QMJHL OHL BCHL NAHL and other Canadian Junior A Leagues.
- During the season both teams compete in multiple USPHL Showcases throughout the season. ***NCAA College coaches in attendance Post season the Eels compete in 5 Spring and Summer Showcases: USPHL Spring, Pro Am NHL Pre Draft, USPHL Summer Showcase, Senior Chowder Cup and Junior Chowder Cup.
- The Eels provide an unprecedented 600 Hours of training for our players during the season.We practice 5 days per week 40 weeks of the year Off ice training at the first class facility World Gym 44-55 game schedules
- Over the past 10-15 years both our Eels Elite and Premier Teams constantly have been at the top their Division and Conferences and have systematically advanced to Nationals. This past season both teams not only won their Divisional Titles finishing in First Place in one of the toughest Divisions in the USPHL. Moreover, they owned First Place the entire season. The Premier team won their playoffs and advanced to Nationals. Due to Covid 19 they were cut short as games were canceled when we arrived in Boston. That is an incredible accomplishment. Pur coaches are Nationally recognized Coaching and Administrative staff.
